The Cross Shop’s Christmas Pop Up Shop

We’re very pleased and excited to announce that we are going to be part of The Cross’ Christmas pop up shop. It’s taking place from this Friday (the 2nd) until Sunday the 4th of December 2011, opening from 10am until 6pm each day.

There will be a spectacular line up of The Cross Shop’s stockists on sale including footwear, jewellery, knitwear, fashion, homewares and toys from The Jacksons, Penelope Chilvers, Queene and Bell, Dandy Star, Catherine Tough, Jane Wheeler, Lilly and Lionel, Wilbur and Gussie, and Petra Boase, amongst many others. Come down and see us and get Christmas wrapped up in one go. Hurray!

The pop up shop will be at 12, St. Albans Grove, London W8 5PN, near Kensington High Street at the (now closed) Wodka restaurant site. Please see A on the map below for location of the shop.

It was our birthday and we’re now ten!

So, a couple of posts ago (Happy Birthday to us!) we mentioned that it was our birthday. In case you missed it, we’re now ten years old and we’ve had a few things lined up to help us celebrate.

Some of our very good friends have got involved too. We had our very limited birthday card designed by Rob Ryan with our special edition Tatty Devine leather ‘Mimi’ lady and ‘Dora’ dog birthday badge attached to it which is currently available to buy at the showroom on Winkley Street, through our website and online at Tatty Devine. There are only a few left so you’ve gotta be quick!

We also had a wonderful party where lots of our friends and members of the press came down to see our Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. This also marked the beginning of our Mimi Berry pop up shop at Tatty Devine. Tatty are very kindly hosting us until just after Christmas at their Brick Lane shop (236, Brick Lane, London E2 7EB. T: 020 7739 9191).

So for all of you who are missing the heady smell of leather in the old Mimi shop and for all of our new customers, do please come down and try out all the new season’s bags. You can pick yourself a lovely Tatty necklace at the same time. It will be very nice to see all you regulars as well as meeting all the new faces!

Happy Birthday to us!

A dark and windy November, ten years ago, Mimi launched her first leather handbag range and to celebrate her 10th birthday, we’re going to have us a party! To help us celebrate some of our good friends are getting involved to make sure it’s a really special event. The scapel-wielding and wondrous-scribe that is Rob Ryan has drawn us a beautiful invitation and the tantalisingly-tactile Tatty Devine have made a special edition ‘Lady and Dog’ brooch (inspired by Mimi and Dora the dog) out of Mimi’s classic leather. What a spectacular threesome!

Tatty Devine will be hosting the party and they will also be showcasing our Autumn/Winter 2011 collection in their Brick Lane store for the months of November and December. The birthday card with attached brooch will be on sale through Mimi’s on-line boutique and from the showroom from the 31st of October, for a grand price of £36. It will also be on sale at Tatty Devine alongside the original perspex version. The party will be open for all to pop in, so do please, come down and join us!

Autumn Winter 2011 News Round Up

We are pretty much settled over here in our new home on Winkley Street, E2. Everything’s unpacked, the anglepoises are in place, Dora the dog knows where her bed is and all is well. Perfect timing as this is a very busy time for us. There are lots of good things coming up in the next few months, here are just a few.

We’ve been frantically busy designing and putting together our SS12 collection in time for Premiere Classe in Paris, where we will be exhibiting at the end of September. Bonjour, croissants! If any of you are coming along, then please, pop by to say hello.

October will see us nipping over to Italy for Lineapelle in Bologna and we can’t wait. This is where we look for exciting new leathers in preparation for our AW12 collection. Phew. 2012 already?

It’s our tenth birthday in November, hurray! We’ll be celebrating by having a knees up with some of our well-known friends. We’ll be blogging about the party nearer the time so keep stopping by to have a look. All will be welcome.

Feeling lucky? If you haven’t already heard, we’ve got a super competition in conjunction with Roost Living running at the moment.
