Mimi January sale starts this Saturday!

Happy New Year Mimi fans! There is so much to look forward to in 2013, including our sale which starts this Saturday 12th January, with discounts from 30% on selected items.

As usual, we need you to help us to make room for our colourful Spring/Summer collection, which we will be launching in February!

Please note that we only have limited stock of many items this time round as we had such a fantastic Christmas season – many thanks to all of you who have supported us over the last year.

We also have an announcement to make – our S/S 13 collection will be hitting John Lewis Oxford Street in February, with an exciting launch even in store on the 9th February. Come along and meet Mimi and her team at work! More details closer to the time.

If you haven’t heard the news, we are holding our latest sample sale next Friday and Saturday 12th and 13th October here at our Winkley Street showroom in London.

Truth is, we need some room so please come and help us clear out all our design samples, press samples and seconds – prices will start at £15! Sale and full price stock will also be available – please ask if there is something in particular you want to see.

As usual, Rae Jones will be joining us so you can stock up on bags, purses AND shoes!

Summer Sale 2012 and Holiday Update!

We are delighted to announce that the Mimi 2012 Summer Sale starts this Friday 22nd June, with 30% off most Spring Summer styles!

Take advantage of some superb reductions on some of our most coveted bags and purses, for example Beau at £252 (formerly £360), Mae at £175 (reduced from £250) and Bond for £56 (down from £80). ERIC’S MOROCCAN HOLIDAY UPDATE!
A lovely Mimi customer sent us a picture this week of his wife wearing her camel Eric on their recent holiday in Morocco. We think Eric looks super stylish against the mountain backdrop, again proving himself the perfect holiday companion. Thank you for sharing your photo Ferhan. Back to work now after a wonderful home cooked lunch of quiche, the grilled peach and feta combo (we can’t get enough), and a scrumptious almond and orange cake with basil cream! Love from all at Mimi HQ x

The Updateables – Mimi photoshoot, Regent’s Park

We managed to slip in a little photoshoot last week in the central London sunshine. We chose Regent’s Park as the location because it is so pretty and is easy for us to get to.

The park looked beautiful. Camilla had her nails painted by Mimi – note the Percy manicure table!

We needed a few extra shots of bags whose design or fabric has changed slightly – for example our classic silver fabric Evelyn now has a beautifully soft brown leather band around the top for added durability, and Beau is now made in the same smooth hard leather as Eric.

Our model, Camilla, dosed up on SPF30 and braved the midday sun to show you what these lovely styles look like when worn. We tend to use people we know as our models, as we feel that showcasing our bags and purses on real people helps to give a more accurate sense of scale than professional fashion models, and is also really fun for us as we get to hang out with our friends for the day!

We hope you like the new pictures – our photographer Sibell Barrowclough always produces wonderful images using natural light and has a very good eye for a shot. We hope you agree!

Eric’s (not quite) Roman Holiday

Our Eric, he gets about a bit. Last week he was spotted on the beach near Sorrento in southern Italy! In truth, Eric was on holiday with Mimi, helping her carry her belongings on a relaxing and much deserved break.

A big thank you

We wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you to queued outside for ages, then waited patiently in our stairwell for even longer at our hugely successful sample sale just before Easter. It was completely manic but a lot of fun and great to have so many Mimi fans in one place, although having to operate a one-out-one-in policy on the Friday stint wasn’t the idea!
